Grand View Cleaners has been on Venice Boulevard since 1960 — through every neighborhood change, every dry-cleaning chain that came and went, every dress that needed fixing and every leather jacket that needed cleaning the right way.
Three generations of the same family have run this shop. Most of our regulars have been bringing us their clothes for at least a decade. Some for thirty years. We're not exaggerating.
Fatima runs the front of the house — she's the one who'll explain what a tough stain needs and tell you whether something is salvageable. She's saved more wedding dresses than she can count.
We do everything most cleaners stopped doing: leather purses, shoes, rugs, comforters, drapery, sleeping bags, wedding gowns, and the kind of alterations that involve actually fixing a garment instead of replacing the part. Our tailor sits in the back and will mend a zipper rather than swap it whenever he can.
